The Beckley Police Department is committed to ending the cycle of violence in abusive relationships.
If you would like to speak to our Domestic Violence Officer, Cpl. Brown is available Tuesday – Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. You are encouraged to call 911 and file a report if you are the victim of Domestic Violence.
Cpl. Brown reviews all reports of Domestic Violence and conducts follow-ups on incidents. Every attempt is made to utilize available resources to provide a safe environment for all family members.
Family Protection Orders
Domestic Violence Protection Orders are available for the safety of you and other family members. These can be obtained directly from the Magistrates Office and prohibits the offender from having any contact with those persons listed in the order.
If you need assistance to complete domestic violence petition forms or need transportation to a shelter or to obtain a Protection Order, please call 911 for officer assistance or the Women’s Resource Center for information and help.
